Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of CheckShop (the “Service”) at checkshop.io. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

CheckShop is a directory and search engine that indexes third-party online stores and their listings. We do not sell, stock, deliver, or take payment for any product. All purchases are made directly with third-party sellers on their own websites. See our Disclaimer for how this works.

2. No transactions through CheckShop

CheckShop is not a party to any transaction between you and a seller. Any purchase, payment, delivery, license, subscription, warranty, refund, or dispute is solely between you and the seller and is governed by that seller’s terms. We are not responsible or liable for sellers’ products, conduct, or content.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; scrape, harvest, or copy the directory at scale without permission; interfere with or disrupt the Service; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of it; submit false, misleading, or abusive listings or reports; or misuse the voting and reporting features. We may remove content and restrict access at our discretion.

4. Seller listings

If you submit a store, you confirm you are authorized to do so and that the information you provide is accurate. We may decline, edit, hide, or remove any listing at any time, at our discretion. Appearing in the directory is free and does not guarantee traffic, placement, or sales.

5. Promoted content policy

Paid promotions on CheckShop (Featured Product, Boosted Shop, and Sponsored Shop banners) are subject to the following rules. We may deny, remove, or refund any promotion at our discretion:

• No NSFW, hateful, or explicit content.
• No impersonation of CheckShop or any other brand.
• No fake “verified”, “official”, or endorsement badges. CheckShop never sells such a badge.
• No misleading claims about the product, price, delivery, or availability.
• Custom banner uploads must comply with the file specifications shown on /promote (size, aspect ratio, format).

All sponsored placements on the site are visibly marked as sponsored so buyers can distinguish them from organic listings.

6. Intellectual property

The CheckShop name, logo, and the design and compilation of the directory are our property. Product names and brands shown in listings belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe sellers’ offerings.

7. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any listing information is accurate, current, or lawful.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CheckShop and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the Service or from any transaction with a third-party seller.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
