Three ways to sell digital products
Hosted platforms give you a ready-made product page and checkout. Self-hosted stores give you more control over branding, data and payment options. Directories such as CheckShop sit above either setup and help buyers discover products across independent stores.
- Hosted storefront: fast setup, less control
- Self-hosted store: more control, more maintenance
- Independent directory: discovery traffic while your existing checkout stays in place
Choose by the job you need done
If you do not yet have checkout or delivery, start with a storefront platform. If your store is already live, moving platforms may create work without solving discovery. In that case, add distribution: searchable listings, useful product pages and links from places where buyers already look.
- Need checkout and delivery: choose a commerce platform
- Already have a store: add discovery channels
- Need ownership and flexibility: consider a self-hosted store
How CheckShop fits
CheckShop does not replace your store. Eligible sellers submit their existing storefront, approved public products are indexed, and interested buyers continue to the seller for payment, delivery and support. Standard listing is free.
